Alex’s career began in technology and telecommunications, leading complex projects at Sensormatic Electronics and Cambridge Technology Partners. He went on to build a telecommunications company in Venezuela from the ground up and served as its CEO — hands-on operating leadership in one of the region’s most demanding markets — and continues to write and speak about the industry today.

Under his leadership Avra achieved a public listing in 2017, then merged with SS Innovations — up-listing the combined surgical-robotics company onto NASDAQ (SSII) at a valuation of over US$1 billion.
